Instructions:
1). In order to make it easier to dissolve the hormones, warm the bottles of KOH solution and distilled water by standing in a small amount of hot water for 10mins before use.
2) While agitating gently, add KOH solution a drop at a time to the powdered hormone until dissolved.
3) Add distilled water to the tube until you reach the 10mL marker.
4) Mix and use immediately. Protect from light (e.g. by covering the tube in tinfoil). Can be stored for short periods in the fridge (usually only a few weeks is recommended).
Please note: alternatively it is possible to dissolve cytokinins such as BAP and Kinetin in warm 1M HCl solution.
