Cresyl Blue preparation for Russulas. A modified version of the formula used by Buyck, 1989 (but without Invadin IFC).
Metachromatic staining (caused by polymerisation of dye) gives violet tints, orthochromatic staining gives blue tints.
Contains a higher concentration of Cresyl Blue than Clemencon’s formulation (for ascos) and ethanol.
