Useful field test for some species e.g. the cap of Lactarius turpis turns a deep burgundy colour when a drop is applied.
N.B. For rehydration of dried samples, 3% KOH is recommended.
Supplied in a plastic dropper bottle to reduce risk of cloudiness over time which can occur in glass.
